If You Want Big Arms Do Squats
If you have never heard about the concept of doing squats to build big arms you are in for a treat as this is one of the most important things to understand in your quest for muscle mass. Of course you must be thinking to yourself, how could training my legs ever give me growth on my arms? Well the answer is very simple and once you grasp the idea you will have a better understanding of how your body works and in turn you will be able to train in such a way to stimulate the maximum amount of muscle growth possible in the shortest amount of time.
You are probably aware that testosterone helps build muscle tissue and without testosterone you will never get big arms or big anywhere else. When you do resistance training like lifting weights your body produces testosterone and the more intense the weight training is, the more testosterone will be produced by your body. When you do arm curls for biceps for example, your body will produce a relatively small amount of testosterone since the most amount of work when doing this exercise is done by your biceps which are only a small bodypart. When you do squats which are a compound movement, your body is using so many other muscles simultaneously that the intensity of a squat is far greater than an arm curl and the result of this high intensity exercise is a far greater production of the muscle building hormone testosterone.
Squatting is primarily a leg movement and by squatting regularly you will end up with quality gains in leg muscle mass, there is no doubt about that. However, since squatting requires a Herculean amount of effort, the intensity of the exercise not only stimulates testosterone but is also helps to release insulin growth factors and growth hormones throughout your entire body. These hormones promote growth in all the muscles over your whole skeletal system.
The result of squatting on your muscular system leads to the creation of more cells and capillaries as the growth hormone is released which allows greater blood flow to the muscles. With the extra blood flow to the muscles, more muscle building nutrients can be absorbed and this increase leads to more muscle growth.
So although arm curls will definitely stimulate grow in your arms at the arm level, doing squats will stimulate the greatest amount of testosterone and hormone release throughout your entire body and the end result will be increased growth in all your muscles. So if you want big arms do squats, it really works.
