How to Get Big Huge Massive Arms
The first question everyone asks when they first become interested in bodybuilding is how to get big huge massive arms? Over the years I have worked as a personal trainer and been working out my own body in the gym I have witnessed many guys and a few girls transform skinny arms to huge massive arms from consistent training and always following a diet high in protein and adequate complex carbohydrates.
When I first started bodybuilding as a teenager I was only 150 pounds but in the years to follow I managed to get up to my heaviest bodyweight of 260 pounds with a lot of hard and heavy training, a number of injuries which were normally my own fault from not being warmed up enough or just training too often and so much food I often felt physically sick. There is no doubt about it, bodybuilding is a lot of hard work but if you love it like I do, there really isn’t much else that gives the same sense of satisfaction from regularly working out with heavy weights.
It has taken me a long time to work out how to get big huge massive arms through trial and error and talking to hundreds of bodybuilders over the years and going to countless seminars with professional bodybuilders who have given me good advice. The one thing that seems to run true with what I have learned myself from years of training plus talking to other big bodybuilders is that LESS IS MORE. Yes, less hard and heavy training works better than more hard and heavy training. You need to be consistent and you need to push the big weights with good training form but if you want to get huge massive arms you need to train your arms no more than once per week.
So many guys like to train their arms twice per week or some even may train their arms 3 times per week but this just too much and will never lead to you getting big huge massive arms, instead it will lead to poor muscle gains and frustration.
Ideally you should train your biceps for 6-9 sets per week and the same amount for your triceps. You can train them on the same day or different days but you only need to train them once per week if getting huge massive arms is your goal. In reality you are training your arms twice per week anyway when you train your chest and back. After a hardcore balls to the wall chest workout with supersets, a couple of forced reps from my trainer partner and training most sets to the point of absolute muscle failure, my chest and my triceps are totally wasted. Add my triceps workout to this later in the week and I have literally trained my triceps twice. The same thing goes for back training, after a heavy back workout my biceps are totally blown and just as pumped as after my biceps workout.
If you are training arms twice per week and training chest and back hard to failure, you are training your arms way too much and heading away from getting huge massive biceps and triceps.
Lastly and I know I always talk about this in many of my articles but I will mention it again since I believe it is crucial for all body parts to grow but especially to get huge massive arms and that is you must constantly change your exercises for new muscle growth, if you do the same exercises for every arm workout your progress will come to a grinding halt. The most important thing to remember, write it on the ceiling above your bed if you have to, although your girlfriend (or boyfriend) probably won’t like it, “I must train to failure everytime I workout” or at least 80% of the time anyway, do this and you will get big huge massive arms.
