Biceps Won’t Grow

Many people notice their biceps won’t grow but can’t seem to fix the problem. The truth is there could be dozens of reasons why your biceps won’t grow but to find out why your biceps aren’t growing comes down to trial and error. Since we all have different genetic make ups, some of us grow easily no matter what we do, others need to train a lot to stimulate growth and some people need to train rarely to get good results. If your biceps will not grow you need to keep changing your routine until they do begin to grow.

In most cases the biceps won’t grow because they are either under trained or over trained. If your biceps are not sore at all after a workout you probably aren’t training hard enough when you work out. There is only one way to fix this and that is to increase the intensity of your workouts by either performing more sets, heavier weights or by having a shorter break in between sets.

If your biceps won’t grow but they are extremely sore for days after your workouts you are probably doing too much work in the gym and not eating enough amino rich protein in your diet. Eating more food and especially high quality protein like beef, chicken, eggs or fish are great sources of branch chain amino acids that help towards muscle repair and are essential for biceps that won’t grow.

If you are eating enough protein in 5-6 medium size meals everyday than perhaps your diet is ok and you need to look at the amount of rest you get each day. Biceps won’t grow if you don’t get at least 8 hours sleep every night on a regular basis. Bodybuilders especially need to get adequate amounts of sleep to recover from their workouts and grow new muscle tissue more so than most regular people. Weight training is very taxing on the body and rest is just as important as eating and training.

After considering all the factors I have mentioned here, if your biceps still won’t grow I would suggest taking a week or two off training all together and then start back with medium to heavy workouts for the biceps but you never need to train your biceps more than once per week. The key to fixing biceps that will not grow is to try different courses of action till you find one that works, than continue to monitor your training making sure they keep growing with hard training, adequate rest and quality nutrition.
